Jay Siegan
I caught the bug early: Growing up outside of San Francisco, I was enthralled by the music scene the City cultivated. I was cutting school at a young age to hang in record stores and categorize their records for free. I absorbed every live concert I could. I consumed biographies related to music. I played in bands. I had all the posters.
By my early 20s, I was managing up-and-coming bandswith a degree of local success. We had groups headlining and selling out larger venues, and started doing private events around the country. I opened a live music venue, the Red Devil Lounge, which became a cultural (or at least musical) institution in SF for almost 15 years. I was asked to become a Curator for the renowned TED Conference, where I was surrounded by some unbelievable speakers and brilliant colleagues.
All the while, me and my core team were building Jay Siegan Presents, a go-to agency to secure big name talent for high-end private and social events, as well as philanthropic endeavors and non-profits. We've booked The Killers, Celine Dion, Coldplay, Andrea Bocelli, Imagine Dragons, and so many more -- countless world-class artists in truly extraordinary events. We are true experts in this unique field and best-in-class. JSP is now a growing multi-million dollar company, with our team of musicologists, producers, and experts nationwide. Im truly so proud of all of them.
While JSP commands most of my professional time, I also produced 7 comedy specials and a television series on the underground magic scene. These projects will be shopped in 2024. A good pal and I, who started this endeavor, call our production company Super Nice Guys. But that's a story for another time.
I've at least been named dropped, if not given a decent quote, in The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Robb Report, and sunk as low as VICE, just for fun. Ive mostly said things I didn't regret.
I live in Santa Barbara and NYC, love to travel with my 17-year-old daughter, and continue to absorb culture with a deep passion. I've got a few more tricks on my sleeve...
